After heading the Research Department of the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences (SAMS) and the Center for Analyses, Strategies and Concepts of the Biomedicine Division of the Federal Office of Public Health, Katrin joined the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics as Director of Personalized Health Informatics in 2019. In this role, she was also heading the Data Coordination Center of the Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN) with a federal mandate to make routinely collected health data better usable for research purposes and to establish a Trusted Research Environement for the mobilization, analyses and storage of sensitive research data in Switzerland (BioMedIT).
